Alberta may be the largest of Canada’s three “prairie provinces”, but even Laura Ingalls Wilder couldn’t tell all the stories that this (rather large) slice of heaven has to offer. Alberta has everything from cowboys on bucking broncos to elk and mountain goats, with a few castles and heli-yoga spots to boot.
The capital city of Edmonton is home to a regular potpourri of ethnic and cultural groups, and plays host to a number of large events like an annual indy racing competition. Further south of the capital lays the province’s largest city, Calgary, a winter sports haven nestled in the Canadian Rockies.
Alberta is a world unto itself within Canada, just waiting to be discovered by intrepid travelers.
