New York City Food
There's plenty to eat in New York City besides f
big apples. In fact, there's everything to eat. From fine dining to street treats, the city has something for any palate and any budget. New York's immigrant past means the city is a literal melting pot for all cuisines, so you can eat dim sum in Chinatown, cannoli in Little Italy, and souvlaki in Astoria..all in an afternoon (we won't judge). Sure, the premier restaurants are a bit more expensive, but cheap eating is never tastier than in New York City. After all, you're in the home of the bagel, the Magnolia cupcake, and Nathan's first hot dog. But just because you're trying to tighten your belt doesn't mean you should eat any less. If you're really craving a meal in one of Manhattan's finer restaurants without going broke, schedule your visit around Restaurant Week in either winter (Jan-Feb) or summer (June-July), when Manhattan's finest restaurants offer three-course meals at standardized (and affordable) fixed prices (}212-484-1200
