Queens in its enormity is home to a variety of exciting sights for people with all types of interests. Jazz enthusiasts will be pleased to find out that many jazz greats, from Billie Holiday to Louis Armstrong have lived in Queens. Queens College runs the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona (Queens Jazz Trail Map: www.ephemerapress.com/queens.html). The lobby of Flushing Town Hall is filled with autographed photos of jazz stars who have also performed there.
For those who love art, Astoria and Long Island City are must-sees. The Museum of the Moving Image and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center are not to be missed. Finally, sports fans will be completely in their element at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, home to Citi Field where the Mets Play and the USTA National Tennis Center, the sight of the US Open. No matter your proverbial bag, there's something in Queens for you.
