Beyond Tourism : The Clean Air Team (☎808-948-3299) volunteers lead a pleasant 2 mi., 3hr., stroll through Kapiolani Park and along the Diamond Head Coast, ending at the Diamond Head Lighthouse. Leaves from the Gandhi statue near the Honolulu Zoo entrance, 151 Kapahulu Ave. 1st Sa of the mo., 1-3:30pm. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Program to Preserve Hawaiian Placenames, at the Liliha Public Library, 1515 Liliha St. Take H-1 west to School St. and take N. School St. west to Liliha St. Catch the free “Introduction to Hawaiian Words” lecture, the easiest and fastest (1hr.) way to become acquainted with Hawaiian word structure. 1st W of every mo., 7pm. No late arrivals.
