Molokai Interisland Transportation

Molokai is most easily accessible by short plane flights (about 20min.) from Maui and Oahu, though there is also a ferry service from Maui. Flights to Molokai generally arrive at the Hoolehua Airport (6.5 mi. northwest of Kaunakakai, 10 mi. east of Maunaloa), although there is also an airport at Kalaupapa.

• Island Air, 99 Kapalulu Pl. (☎800-652-6541; www.islandair.com), on Lagoon Dr., behind the airport in Honolulu. From Honolulu (6 flights per day) or Maui (2 flights per day); one-way from $61, round-trip from $122. 5% discount online.
• The Molokai Princess, (☎808-661-8397 or 808-667-6165; www.molokaiferry.com) at Kaunakakai Wharf. Passenger-only ferry to Lahaina, Maui (90min.; departs Maui daily 7:15am and 6pm, departs Molokai daily 5:30am and 4pm; $42.40, ages 4-12 $21.20, under 4 free.) Two bags allowed; additional bags, surfboards, or bikes $15 each.
