Sydney’s well-oiled public transportation system makes it easy to travel within the city limits. The Sydney Transit Authority (STA) controls city buses, CityRail trains, and ferries; the network stops nearly everywhere. For information on any part of the STA system, call ☎13 15 00. Check prices for various passes, as they are frequently cheaper than paying multiple individual fares. The DayTripper ($16, ages 4-15 $8) grants unlimited use of Sydney ferries, local buses, and central CityRail lines. The TravelPass (Red $35, ages 4-15 $17.50; Green (two zones including Olympic Park and Manly) $43/21.50; Purple (premiere) $57/28.50) covers the four central zones and includes unlimited seven-day access to buses, trains, and ferries. The Sydney Pass includes unlimited use of buses, ferries, and Red Travelpass trains; round-trip Airport Link service; access to the Sydney, Bondi, and Parramatta Explorer buses; passage on Manly JetCats and Parramatta RiverCats; and discounts on selected Sydney attractions. (3-day pass $110, ages 4-15 $55, families $275; 5-day pass $145/70/360; 7-day pass $165/80/410.)
