Stagecoach (☎801 7000 or 0800 801 700) services the main city and most surrounding suburbs. Main line buses run daily 6:30am-11pm. Most backpackers use the line between the Railway Station and the Cambridge Terr. end of Courtenay Pl. ($1-2.50). Buses #1 and 2 run between these points every 15min. during the day and every 30-45min. on evenings and weekends. The City Circular runs every 15min. from all major city sights ($2). The Daytripper Pass ($15) allows unlimited downtown travel M-F 9am-midnight, Sa-Su 6:30am-midnight. Stagecoach Eastbourne Connector (☎0800 200 910) runs buses #81 and 83 between Courtenay Pl. and the Railway Station and around the bay to Petone and Eastbourne every hr. during the day and fewer in the evenings.
