Demand for tickets at “The Championships” (Wimbledon) so exceeds supply that pre-sold tickets are lotteried in December; only 500 Centre, No. 1, and No. 2 Court tickets are saved for each day (except during the Final Four, when none are). To be assured one of these seats, overnight queuing is recommended. To see the big names in a more intimate environment, try the Stella Artois tournament, which precedes Wimbledon in June.
