OTHER England DESTINATIONS

London Long-Running Shows (The West End)

London’s West End is dominated by musicals and plays that run for years, if not decades. Below we list shows that have proved their staying power as well as recent arrivals that look ready for the long haul. Most long-running shows are in venues located in the West End.

  • tkts, south side of Leicester Sq. Leicester Sq. Also at Canary Wharf DLR Station, Platforms 4 and 5. Run by the Society of London Theatre, tkts is the only place where you can be sure your discounted tickets are genuine. The catch is that theaters only release the most expensive tickets to the booth, which means that it’s a good deal for the best seats in the house, but they are rarely under £15 (most musicals around £27, plays £20-40). In addition, you can only buy day-of tickets in person, albeit with little seating choice. Notice boards display which shows are available. Booking fees vary but are typically £2.50 per ticket. Open M-Sa 10am-7pm, Su noon-3pm
