Nightlife has featured prominently in Brixton and Clapham’s renaissance, with an ever-increasing number of bars and clubs luring London’s choosiest and largest concentration of under-35s. Since many clubs are small, lounging generally takes priority over dancing, though the recent proliferation of DJ bars in Brixton signals a shift back to sweaty chaos. While some Clapham nightspots are little different from their peers in Hoxton and Clerkenwell, there are destinations that have escaped yuppification.
