Deutscher Camping-Club runs campgrounds in Wannsee, Spandau, and Köpenick. Reservations are recommended; write to Deutscher Camping-Club Berlin, Geisbergstr. 11, 10777 Berlin, or call in advance. (☎030 218 6071; www.dccberlin.de. Sites charge €5.60 per person, €2.50 per child, €4 per tent.) One convenient campground is Kladow 1 , Krampnitzer Weg 111-117 (☎030 365 2797). Take U7 to “Rathaus Spandau,” then bus #135 (dir.: Alt-Kladow) to the end. Switch to bus #234 to “Krampnitzer Weg/Selbitzerstr.,” then follow Krampnitzer Weg 500m. A store and restaurant complement the swimmable lake in this far-off suburban locale. (Open year-round. €5.60 per person. Cash only.)
