Beyond the usual beer and Oktoberfest sights, Munich has a wealth of castles, museums, and other historical sights well worth a visit. The best day to visit museums is Sunday, when most of them are either free or reduced priced. Those reduced prices also usually mean that you'll have to pay for the audio guide, but it's still a good deal over paying the regular price.
