Guided by a divine dream to build a monastery atop a bubbling stream, King Boleslav II and St. Adalbert founded Břevnov Monastery, Bohemia’s oldest, in 993. To the right of St. Margaret’s Church (Bazilika sv. Markéty), the stream leads to a pond. (Metro A: Malostranská. Take tram #22 to Břevnovský klášter.
