Icelandic glaciers. They also coordinate fundraising efforts to curtail the fee.
- International Cultural Youth Exchange, Große Hamburger Str. 30, Berlin, GER (☎49 30 28 39 05 50; www.icye.org). ICYE brings together volunteers and host organizations on a variety of projects worldwide, including several in Iceland.

- Volunteers for Peace (☎802-259-2759; www.vfp.org). Runs 2800 “workcamps” throughout the world, including several in Iceland. $250 per 2- to 3-week workcamp, including room
and board, plus $20 VFP membership fee.
