Finding work in Turkey is tough, as the government tries to restrict employment primarily to Turkish citizens. Foreigners seeking jobs must obtain a work visa, which in turn requires a permit issued by the Ministry of the Interior. An excellent option for work in Turkey is to teach English. Since English is the language of instruction at many Turkish universities, it’s also possible to enroll directly as a special student, which might be less expensive than enrolling in an American university program.
