From Spoleto, take a train to Trevi. Dir: Perugia or Ancona, 10min., 17 per day 12:10am-10:09pm, €1.75. From the station, take an orange municipal bus to town. Buses run to P. Removed and unhurried compared to the more trafficked Umbrian towns, Trevi (TREH-vee; pop. 7800) rests among sloping olive groves atop a hill. Most sights are easily reached from Piazza Mazzini, the centro. The Pinacoteca Raccolta d’Arte di San Francesco houses a collection of Renaissance religious art. The unique Museo della Civiltà Dell’Ulivo offers a history of the city’s staple olive oil industry as well as samples and recipes. Follow V. San Francesco from P. The Illumination Procession, one of Umbria’s oldest religious festivals, takes place on January 28.
