Gay and Lesbian Barcelona
With sidewalk cafes serving everything from fusion to traditional Catalan cuisine, wandering in l’Eixample easily induces rumbling stomachs, especially during a long day of shopping. These upper neighborhoods are full of good places to spend a long dinner (especially l’Eixample Esquerra), but the restaurants are scattered around and interspersed with plenty of nondescript corner bars serving the endless apartment buildings in the area. If you want to sample one of l’Eixample’s trendy, high-quality restaurants, pick one ahead of time and put the blinders on as you walk past all the others. Be sure to make reservations on weekends and be prepared to pay a lot for the food and atmosphere.

For 52 years, we have published the world’s favorite budget travel guides, written entirely by students and updated every year. With pen and notebook in hand and a few changes of underwear stuffed in our backpacks, we spend months roaming the globe in search of travel bargains.
