Barcelona Pedralbes And Les Corts
There are several good restaurants in Les Corts. Some are grouped
near the metro stop around Pl. de la Concordia; others are further
away, but merit the short walk. Although the small bars and cafes near
Camp Nou feed hordes of soccer fans on game days, the stadium area is
not known for its cuisine, and you’re likely to end up paying tourist
prices for mediocre food. If you’re planning on seeing a game, it might
be wise to pack a lunch, or to hold out and head back downtown to eat
afterwards.
- Fragments Cafe, Pl. de la Concordia, 12 (☎934 19 96 13;
www.fragmentscafe.com). : Les Corts. Walk up C. de Galileu and make a
right on C. de Deu i Mata. C. Deu i Mata runs into the plaça. This
restaurant has something for everyone--tables in Les Corts’ most
happening plaça, a trellised terrace out back, a stand-up tapas bar,
and a candlelit dining room--all tucked into one, green-shuttered
house. Try the white beans with jamón and mint (€4.50). Lunch menu €12. Entrees €4-14. Reservations often necessary on weekends. Open Tu-Su 1-4pm and 9pm-midnight.

and C. Aristides Maillol. Collblanc, L5. Busy even on non-game days,
“The Spicy Snail” specializes in, of course, 7 snail dishes (about €6
each). Less adventurous visitors can choose from a number of delicious
tapas on display at the bar (€2-9 per plate). Open daily 7am-1:30am.
Cash only.
- In Blue, Trav. de les Corts, 300 (☎934 19 11 30). : Les Corts. Walk up Trav. de les Corts. This bar/restaurant has local artists’ work on the walls and serves up tasty,
home-cooked Catalan dishes like butifarra and cod. A convenient place to re-fuel. Lunch menu €9.50. Open M-Sa 1-4pm, 8-11:30pm. MC/V.
- L’Arrosseria Xativa, C. Bordeus, 35 (☎933 22 65 31; www.arrosseriaxativa.com). : Les Corts. Walk 10min. up the Trav. de les Corts and make a right on C. Bordeus. This rustic
restaurant serves up paella and fideua the old-fashioned way; you eat out of the pan with a wooden spoon.
Simple white walls and fresh flowers on the table make you feel right
at home. Try the fava beans with clams (€15.50) or the lobster paella
(€24.50). Entrees €13-26. Open M-Th 1-4pm and 8:30pm-midnight, F-Sa
1-4:30pm and 8:30pm-midnight. MC/V.4.
- La Tertulia, C. Morales, 15 (☎934 19 58 97;
www.arrosseriaxativa.com). : Les Corts. Walk 10min. up the Trav. de
les Corts and make a right on C. Morales. This restaurant, which is
hidden on a residential street, is a destination in and of itself. The
pleasantly rustic venue has exposed brick walls adorned with modern
artwork, terra-cotta tile floors, and a dark wood bar. Decidedly fancy,
this is not a budget choice, but you will get what you pay for. Try the
prawn carpaccio with dill and ginger vinaigrette, or a traditional fideua with shrimp and clams. Lunch menu €19.50. Dinner entrees €15-30. M-Sa 1-4pm and 8:30pm-midnight. MC/V.
