For those with a few days in the city and an interest in seeing some of the most popular sights, the Ruta del Modernisme is the cheapest and most flexible option. The pass provides discounted admission to dozens of Modernista buildings in the city, and comes with the purchase of a guidebook (€12); additional adult passes are €5, though an adult accompanying someone under 18 is free. Passes provide a 25-30% discount on the Palau de la Música Catalana, Fundació Antoni Tàpies, the Museu de Zoología, tours of l’Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and the facades of La Manzana de la Discordia (Amatller, Lleó i Morera, and Batlló), and map tours of Gaudí, Domènech i Montaner, and Puig i Cadafalch buildings, among other attractions. The pass comes with a map and a pamphlet giving the history of different sights, which is helpful for prioritizing visits. Purchase passes at the Pl. Catalunya tourist office, the Modernisme Centre at Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau, C. Sant Antoni Maria Claret, 167, or Pavellons Güell, A v. de Pedralbes, 7. Centralized info can be found at ☎902 07 66 21, 933 17 76 52, and www.rutadelmodernisme.com. Many sights have tour times and length restrictions; visiting all of them on the same day is virtually impossible.
