- Roma Incontra Il Mondo, Villa Ada at V. di Ponte Salario (☎06 41 73 47 12; www.villaada.org), This venue hosts an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, folk, and ethnic music at the large outdoor grounds of Villa Ada, near the Villa Borghese. Most of the acts are international performers on tour, many hailing from as nearby (if you can call it that) as Africa to as far away as Australia. Recent ones include Habib Koite and Bamada (Mali), Luciano (Jamaica), and local Christina Dona. A: Flaminio, then Ferrovie Urbane bound for Civitacastellana; get off at Campi Sportivi. Enter the park at Vle. della Moschea and veer right down the winding V. di Ponte Salario. Tickets €5-15. Concerts from mid-June to early Aug. Concert area opens at 8pm; concerts start at 10pm and usually last until 2am. Takes credit cards. Wheelchair access.
- Fiesta, Ippodrome delle Capanelle, V. Appia Nuova 1245 (☎348 88 89 950; www.fiesta.it), This huge concert venue complete with restaurant, bar, disco, and lounge area features popular Latin performers most nights of the week. The festival wouldn't be complete without crowds in the thousands and so much dancing that your hips will start to feel like those of an octogenarian. Big names include Don Omar, La India, Los 4, and the legendary Ricky Martin. Bus #664 to Colli Albani or A: Cinecittà and then bus #654 down V. delle Capanelle.
