Unfortunately, most theaters in Rome show dubbed movies. For foreign films with Italian subtitles, look for a “v.o.” or “l.o.” in listings ( versione originale or lingua originale ). In summer, huge screens spring up in piazze around the city for outdoor filmfests. A popular site is on Isola Tiberina. Cinemas citywide offer discounts on Wednesdays and for showings before 6pm. Visit www.ilteatrodiroma.it for more info. For up-to-date showtimes and ticket information for English film showings around the city, visit www.romereview.com.
