Numerous companies offer pub crawls through various neighborhoods of Rome—the most popular are in the area around Termini, the Ancient City, and the Centro Storico. If you’re at least 18 and speak English, you’re welcome to join dozens of expats and tourists from around the world in a night of heavy drinking. Most have arrangements with many bars and clubs, and the itinerary changes nightly. For €15-20, expect a t-shirt, all-you-can-drink beer and wine (and sometimes mixed drinks) for the first hour, pizza, drinking games, welcome shots and discounts at a few bars, and entry into a club open until 3 or 4am at the end of the night. You can generally go for free on your birthday. Reservations made by phone or web are recommended on weekends and in the summer, though you can always just show up to the meeting spot (they go rain or shine, in sickness and in health).
