Barcelona Olympic Facilities At Montjuïc

Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc, Pg. Olímpic, 17-19 (☎93 426 20 89, 24hr. 90 210 12 12). The stadium hosts free soccer games for Barcelona’s second beloved team, R.C. Deportivo Espanyol, a.k.a. los periquitos (parakeets). Open daily 10am-8pm. Obtain R.C. Deportivo Espanyol tickets from Banco Catalana.

Swimming

Piscines Bernat Picornell, Av. Estadi, 30-40 (☎93 423 40 41; www.picornell.com), to the right when you’re facing the stadium. Test your swimming skills in the Olympic pools, two gorgeous facilities surrounded by stadium seating. A favorite for families and sunbathers. There is also a small cafe inside the complex. €4.40 for outdoor pool, €8 for pool and workout facilities including sauna, massage parlor, and gym. Outdoor pool open Su 9am-8pm, M-Sa 9am-9pm. Workout facilities open Su 7:30am-8pm, M-F 7am-midnight, Sa 7am-9pm.
