Israel’s campsites usually provide electricity, sanitary facilities, public telephones, first aid, a restaurant or store, a night guard, and on-site or nearby swimming areas. In July and August most sites charge NIS20-50 per night. The campgrounds of Hurshat Tal National Park in the northern part of the Khula Valley provide some wet fun through waterslides. The Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve in the Golan is famous not only for its quirky shape; a valley is the palm and five rivers constitute the fingers of an outstretched hand prepared to pull you into the outdoorsy adventures unique to Israel. Be aware that at the mountainous Mount Carmel National Park, the campground recommends reservations and charges a fee for overnight stays. Another opportunity for spending some quality time with the outdoors appears in the unique Massada National Park; with its location in the Judean Desert, your experience is guaranteed to be on fire.
