The sparsely populated towns of the Wicklow coast seem a world away from jet-setting Dublin, although the allure of the capital draws commuters from as far away as Wicklow Town. The area lacks the heavy-hitting historical hot spots of the inland route through Glendalough and Kilkenny but provides kilometers of untouristed, sheep-filled fields that wind over cliffs and dunes to the sparkling sea. Hikers and cyclists can find plenty of fantastic routes to enjoy.
