The Río Guadalquivir flows north to south through the city, bordered by Po. de Cristóbal, which becomes Po. de las Delicias by the municipal tourist office. Most of Sevilla’s touristy areas, including Santa Cruz and El Arenal, are on the east bank. The historic barrios (neighborhoods) of Triana, Santa Cecilia, and Los Remedios lie on the western bank. Avenida de la Constitución, home of the Andaluz tourist office, runs along the cathedral. El Centro, a busy commercial pedestrian zone, starts at the intersection of Av. de la Constitución, Plaza Nueva, and Plaza de San Francisco, site of the Ayuntamiento (city hall). Calle Tetuán and Calle Sierpes, both popular shopping areas, run north from Pl. Nueva through El Centro.
