During Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril, vacant rooms vanish and prices double; reserve several months in advance. The tourist office has lists of casas particulares (private residences) that open for visitors on special occasions. Outside of these weeks, you should reserve a few days in advance and about a week ahead if you’re staying for the weekend.
