The Alameda de Hercules, a five-block plaza packed with bars and cafes, is transformed into a giant outdoor student party on Friday and Saturday nights, and is the perfect setting for an epic barhop. The area just across the river near the Puente de la Barqueta is the place to go for upscale summer clubbing. From the northern end of the Alameda, follow C. Calatrava for 5min. until you reach the bridge. (The A2 night bus runs at midnight, 1, and 2am from Pl. Nueva; ask to be let off near Pte. de la Barqueta. Taxi from Pl. Nueva €5-8.)

Funclub, Alameda de Hercules This chrome-accented performance space hosts regular pop, rock, funk, and hip-hop concerts that transition to dance parties after 2am. Cover typically €5, includes 1 drink. Closed July-Sept. Open Th 10pm-6am, F-Sa 10pm-7am
