Sevilla’s bullring hosts bullfights from Semana Santa through October. The cheapest place to buy tickets is at the ring on Po. Alcalde Marqués de Contadero. When there’s a good cartel (line-up), buy tickets at booths on Calle Sierpes, Calle Velázquez, and Plaza de Toros. Prices can run from €20 for a grada de sol (nosebleed seat in the sun) to €75+ for a barrera de sombra (front-row seat in the shade). The two main options are corridas de toros (traditional bullfights) or novilladas (fights with apprentice bullfighters and younger bulls). During July and August, corridas occasionally occur on Thursday at 9pm; check posters around town. (Pl. de Toros ticket office ☎954 50 13 82; www.plazadetorosdelamaestranza.com.
