Beyond Tourism
In the mid-20th century the British Invasion gave us the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, the Monkees, and a million other rock and roll bands with long hair. Punk rock sprang up in Chelsea in the late 1970s when the Sex Pistols and the Clash played their first shows.
London still produces chart-topping groups and solo singers every year, including Coldplay, Keane, Amy Winehouse, and Natasha Bedingfield. While mainstream artists such as these continue to dominate the global soundstage, London also hosts plenty of underground music movements.

For 52 years, we have published the world’s favorite budget travel guides, written entirely by students and updated every year. With pen and notebook in hand and a few changes of underwear stuffed in our backpacks, we spend months roaming the globe in search of travel bargains.
