Heringsdorf (pop. 9500) has long been the most elite of Usedom’s resort towns, illustrated by rows of ornate villas lining the waterfront. As one of the three Kaiserbäder, the tiny town became the favorite vacation spot of Kaiser Wilhelm I, whose (now privately owned) house, at Delbrückestr. 6, can still be seen from the street.
