With all there is to see and do in Buenos Aires, the idea of leaving the city for something else may seem mind-boggling. There is a chance, though, after a week of noisy city life and staying up all night clubbing, that you’ll want to get away from it all for a day. Fortunately, there’s plenty to see afield from the borders of the metropolis, from the leafy riverside suburbs of San Isidro and Tigre to the traditional gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco. There’s a reason we call these daytrips—plan to spend no more than one day each at these destinations. As such, we don’t list any accommodations. We’re sure you’ll find Buenos Aires beckoning at the end of the day, anyway.
