Great Britain Planning Your Trip

  • Entrance Requirements
  • Passport . Required of all foreign nationals, although they may not be checked for citizens of the EU.
  • Visa . Not required for short-term travel for citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the US, and many other Western countries. If you are unsure, call your local embassy or complete an inquiry at www.ukvisas.gov.uk. Students planning to study in the UK for six months or more must obtain a student visa.
  • Inoculations . No specific inoculation, vaccination, certificate, or International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) is required, but check to see if an ICV is required upon re-entry into your own country.
  • Work Permit . Required for all foreigners planning to work in Britain.
