Lying just off Trapani, the archipelago of Favignana, Levanzo, and Marettimo, known collectively as The Egadi Islands (EE-zo-leh EH-ga-dee), is easily accessible by ferry or hydrofoil. Favignana is the largest and most modern of the trio, with plenty of packed beaches. In Levanzo and Marettimo, mules and sheep share plains with cacti, and rugged cliffs climb the coast.
