Northern Cayes Overview

Few travelers overlook Belize’s exquisite Cayes (pronounced KEYS), strung along the second-largest barrier reef in the world. As Belize’s number-one tourist destination, the Cayes feature some of the best diving in the world. Although there are several hundred cayes off Belize’s aquamarine coast, visitors primarily concern themselves with Ambergris Caye, with its top-end resorts and dive shops. The more rugged Caye Caulker is also popular and is a budget traveler’s haven.
