Hawaii manages to exceed the expectations of even a typical tropical climate; the average temperature in Hawaii is 85˚F (29˚C) in summer and 78˚F (26˚C) in winter. Northeasterly trade winds and varying elevations limit the extremes of temperature and humidity seen at other tropical locales, giving the Hawaiian islands, in our opinion, one of the best climates in the world. Though weather reports in Hawaii often sound like broken records proclaiming “warm and sunny,” we’ve included a climate chart below. Always remember that the weather conditions can vary depending on whether you are on the leeward or windward sides of the islands. Most of Hawaii has only two seasons: winter from November to April and summer from May to October.
