Broadway lives up to its name, with a long, wide High St. bordered by pubs and specialty shops. Broadway Tower, a 30-40min. uphill hike, inspired the likes of poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti and affords an excellent view of 12 counties. Follow the Cotswold Way from High St. uphill out of town or take Johnson bus #21/22 (10min., M-Sa 4 per day) from High St. to Broadway Tower Park. (☎01386 852 390; www.broadwaytower.co.uk. Past Snowshill Manor, Snowshill Lavender Farm,called the “Provence of the Cotswolds,” lets you wander through the sweet-smelling lavender fields.
