For those who can afford it, travel by plane is by far the most efficient and comfortable means of covering large distances in Vietnam. There are airports in Bu®n Ma Thut, à Låt, à N{ng, i_n Biˆn Ph©, H=i Phòng, Hà Ni, H· Chí Minh City, Hu\, Nha Trang, Phú Qu#c, Pleiku, Qui Nh£n, Råch Giá, S£n La, and Vinh. The airports at à N{ng, Hà Ni, and H· Chí Minh City also have international service. Vietnam Airlines (Hà Nÿi ☎4 832 0320, HCMC 8 832 0320, à N{ng 51 811 111; www.vietnamairlines.com) is the main airline for domestic flights, although Pacific Airlines (www.pacificairlines.com.vn) operates a few routes. Domestic flights can run anywhere from 400,000-4,000,000, and prices will vary with class and seating type. It’s easiest to book a flight through one of the primary travel agencies in HCMC or Hà Nÿi, although you can book flights online ahead of time if you so desire.
