Puerto Rico Organized Adventure Trips
Organized adventure tours offer another way of exploring the wild. Activities include hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, kayaking,
rafting, climbing, photo safaris, and archaeological digs. Tourism bureaus often can suggest parks, trails, and outfitters.
Organizations that specialize in camping and outdoor equipment like REI and EMS (see above) also are good sources for information.
One of the greatest adventures in Puerto Rico is exploring the limestone caves along the northern coast, either by foot, in
a kayak, or by rapelling. See Parque de las Cavernas del Río Camuy, for more information. Tours endorsed by the Puerto
Rico Tourism Company (www.gotopuerto.com) are listed on its website. Let’s Go also lists local tours in the Practical Information
section in each town.
