Because the vast majority of Puerto Ricans have darker skin and are of mixed Taíno, African, and European ancestry, there is relatively little discrimination on the island. Minority travelers will most likely not experience hostility or outright discrimination, but some minor harassment is not unheard of. Most likely, minority travelers will experience more curiosity than aggressiveness.
