Paris:

OTHER France DESTINATIONS

Paris Study Abroad

  • For Students By Students. This year, Let’s Go: Paris 2009 was researched by us (Bri and Sara), two college students studying abroad in Paris over a six-month period. That means that, like all Let’s Go researchers, we scoured the city for awesome restaurants ( Chez Janou;) and clubs ( Favela Chic;)—but we did so after 3hr. of poli sci at Paris 8 and 2hr. of psych at Nanterre. From late-night visits to the American Hospital, to Saturday morning appointments with the locksmith, from Disneyland Paris getaways with a countess host mom, to maladroit Americanisms at African dance classes, we have experienced our fair share of the best and worst that Paris—and more specifically, Parisians—have to offer. But we did it all with you in mind. Whether it was dropping our euros all over the floor at Monoprix while trying to pay and bag (a skill that is almost physically impossible), getting disapproving looks for not drying our hair, or attempting to outwit inappropriate waiters, we hope that our sacrifice and suffering, our enjoyment and experience, helps you live YOUR experience to the fullest.
