A former strip joint, the Folies is popular with both gay and straight clubbers and is perhaps the most trans-friendly club in the city. Mostly house and techno, usually crowded. Bus Palladium, 6 rue Fontaine, 18 ème (☎01 42 23 18 62; www.lebuspalladium.com). From Pigalle, walk down rue Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (left of Folies Pigalle), turn right on rue Fontaine, and look for the bright blue facade. Getting past the bouncers can be tough; most F and Sa are open to the public. Cover is usually €15-20. AmEx/V.
