Basics
Nicaragua. There is one land crossing at Peñas Blancas/Sapoa , 75km north of Liberia and near Rivas, Nicaragua. There is also a crossing at Río San Juan near Los Chiles , south of San Carlos, Nicaragua.
Panama. There are three land crossings: Paso Canoas is 18km southeast of Neily, Costa Rica, near David, Panama. Sixaola/Guabito is on the Caribbean coast about 1hr. from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, near Changuinola, Panama. Another crossing at Río Sereno, east of San Vito, is rarely used.
