Domestic air travel is more expensive but more convenient than traveling by bus. While smaller airlines do offer domestic flights, it is recommended that you use the two larger airlines, Sansa and NatureAir. Sansa (US ☎+1-877-767-2672; www.flysansa.com) and the pricier, more reliable NatureAir (}US or Canada +1-800-235-9272; www.natureair.net), have flights connecting San José with destinations throughout Costa Rica . Both have several years of experience. Children under age 2 fly for free on Sansa (one-way trips for adults US$53-89 depending on destination; round-trips US$108-180). Children under the age of 12 get a 25% discount off the regular fare on NatureAir (one-way domestic trips for adults US$90-140; round-trips US$106-198).
