RABAT

Overview

For the traveler who wants to see Morocco, Rabat is seriously worthwhile, especially for the grub. The orderly medina has some of the tastiest street food in the Maghreb. The blue-and-white Kasbah of Oudaya gives way to a refreshing strip of the Atlantic, and there’s a stellar playground of ruins and overgrown jungle at Chellah. You can find just about anything in the clean and attractive city streets, including fine dining, bars, and clubs in centre ville and the surrounding neighborhoods. And, as a huge bonus, there are no faux guides or hustlers. Come to Rabat and you’ll want to come back.
