Myrina: The Prehistoric Playmobile City

The prehistoric city of Myrina was the first proto-urban settlement in Europe, and is the island of Limnos’s claim to fame. One small issue: it’s tiny. Like itsy-bitsy. It’s not that there are only a few ruins left, it’s that the extensive remaining ruins are on the scale of Munchkinland. The “rooms’ are smaller than most refrigerators, closer to the size of hotel mini-bars. The “streets” are about half the width of normal hallways, closer to the size of airplane aisles.  It makes me wonder if we’re all descended from mole people or, worse, Oompa Loompas.
