Australia Flooding Continues |
Despite the fact that 200,000 people in Australia's Queensland have been affected by severe flooding in the last few weeks, tourism officials are saying the region is open for "business as usual." The Telegraph reports that state officials are have pointed out that cities like Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as well as the popular Fraser Island have been largely unaffected by the flooding.
Recent reports have warned those in affected regions (the size of France and Germany combined) to stay out of the water. Why, you ask? For the obvious reasons: sanitation, the danger of drowning, debris...oh, and a few snakes and crocodiles. The desert Outback has never looked so good.
Let's Go's sympathies go out to all those affected by the flooding and we hope the entire region is back to "business as usual" soon.
