1. Concorde has mosaic-covered walls. Each tile displays a different letter. Take a stab at solving the world’s largest word search (actually a series of long quotes).

2. Cluny La Sorbonne has signatures of the Sorbonne’s luminaries all over the ceiling.

3. Arts et Metiers is covered entirely in copper, reminiscent of Captain Nemo’s submarine—or plumbing, depending on how you look at things.

4. Louvre features replicas of the museum’s artwork.

5. Montparnasse-Bienvenüe is a mega-station where you can choose your speed of moving sidewalk on the trattoir roulant rapide (fast-rolling sidewalk).

6. Bibliotheque Nationale Francois Mitterand remains at the edge of innovation with the racy new automated line 14 and stairs covered in an array of foreign languages.

7. Varenne displays replicas of Rodin sculptures.

8. Châtelet, is a large, grimy, and disorienting station, but the musicians are sure to brighten your commute.

9. Palais Royal boasts a lavishly bejeweled entrance.

10. Porte Dauphine has a florid Art Nouveau entrance, designed by Hector Guimard.
