Even though it’s the capital of the EU, Brussels does not have capital prices. With friteries and waffle joints on every other corner, in addition to the traditionally meat-and-potato heavy Flemish diet, don’t expect to tighten the notches on your belt any time soon. Most restaurants have outdoor terraces, and the weather is almost always pleasant enough to enjoy the fresh air.
