LAXENBURG
While Laxenburg is not an overly complicated town, if you are one of those people who need a map or else, print one out before taking the day trip. Laxenburg does not have a tourist office, and the few kiosks that sell maps have limited supplies. When you disembark from the bus at Franz-Josef Platz, the first notable sight is the pink Kaiserbahnhof, an old train station that has been converted into a restaurant. Walking with the restaurant on your left and the street on your right, you will reach Hofstrasse, where the bank, grocery store, and very important ice cream shop await. A right turn will lead to Schloβplatz, with the Pfarrkirche, Rathaus, and Schloβ Laxenburg. At the very end of the street through the carpark, a gate marks the entrance to Schloβpark Laxenburg.
